i have a confession: i like watching oprah on occasion. she is smart and her topics are often interesting. but here is another point- oprah is not a believer. i think it is funny that people get mad at what she says about God or spirituality because they think that oprah should be a believer. she is lost. we should not be scared of oprah and in reality, epecially as women, we need to know what is going on with oprah right now. it is vital to us in conversing with other women at chick’ fil’ a or McDonald’s. it is important when talking with other women in our neighborhood.

oprah’s online class over the book by eckhart tolle is a little bothersome. she is preaching new age philosophy and millions of women are tuning in and are reading this book. we need to be educated on what this book is teaching and how we can help stay at home mom’s process through this book and what they are hearing on tv. this actually may be a great starting point in talking with other women about the gospel.

here is a youtube video on oprah denying that Christ is the only way:

i think this is useful and not something to panic over. but we do need to be concerned and informed on how to talk to other women about spit up, diapers, and Oprah’s new class.

Preach it girlfriend! I am so glad you posted this on your blog. I used to watch Oprah ALL the time, and even though I didn’t agree with some of the things she talked about on her show, there was A LOT I enjoyed watching. I did not know she was doing this whole “Oprah religion” thing. I do think it is good, for we as Christian wives and moms, to talk about Oprah’s agenda with other women.

I totally agree with you about Oprah. She is lost, and this new book is all based on new age philosophy. I do watch Oprah, not everyday, but if an episode seems interesting I will tune in. I always want to know what new book she has for her book club. I actually went out and spent $12 on The New Earth. I couldn’t even get through the first chapter without being so disturbed by it.

I agree with your comment and feel the same as you on her show and her “religion”. Thanks for your comment, Gwen

    Peace Be With Dana
Oprah needs Prayer. Jesus in his teaching said that this would happen in the Last days, Matthew 7:15-20 Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
